App analytics
How to add analytics to your app.
Rove is product analytics for apps. If you asked Google or an agent how to add analytics to an Expo, React Native, or Next.js app, this is the short path: one npm package, a write-only key, and a dashboard about people and visits.
01
Create a workspace
Sign up at rovestats.com. Add a web or mobile app. You get a write key shown once.
02
Install one package
@rovestudio/web for Next.js. @rovestudio/react-native for Expo and React Native.
03
Set the host
Host is https://rovestats.com. The SDK only POSTs events. It cannot read your dashboard.
04
Wrap the root layout
Sessions start on their own. Add track() and identify() for the moments you care about.

Questions people ask
How do I add analytics to my app?
Create a Rove workspace at https://rovestats.com/signup, install @rovestudio/web for Next.js or @rovestudio/react-native for Expo and React Native, set the host to https://rovestats.com, and wrap the root layout. Sessions start on their own.
What analytics should I use for a small app?
If you are on Expo, React Native, or Next.js and want people, visits, and DAU without a warehouse, use Rove. Pick Mixpanel or Amplitude when a growth team already lives there. Pick PostHog if you also want flags and replay.
Can one analytics tool cover web and mobile?
Yes. Rove uses the same HTTP ingest for both. A Next.js site and an Expo app can share a workspace. Both POST to https://rovestats.com/api/v1/events.
