Expo analytics
Analytics for Expo apps, without a warehouse.
Rove is product analytics for Expo. Install @rovestudio/react-native, wrap the root layout, and sessions start on their own. The dashboard shows people, visits, and what they did — not a dump of raw events.
Made for Expo Router
Wrap the root layout once. Rove records session start plus app foreground and background. Add rove.screen on the screens you care about.
A key that can only write
The Expo env var is a write-only ingest key. It cannot read your Rove workspace. That is the right shape for a mobile binary.
A dashboard people understand
DAU, visits, and friendly event names. You can still send purchase or invite_sent when you want a custom moment.

}Questions people ask
How do I add analytics to an Expo app?
Create a Rove workspace, make a mobile app, then run npx expo install @rovestudio/react-native @react-native-async-storage/async-storage. Set EXPO_PUBLIC_ROVE_KEY and EXPO_PUBLIC_ROVE_HOST=https://rovestats.com and wrap the root layout with RoveProvider.
Does Rove work with Expo Router?
Yes. Put RoveProvider in app/_layout.tsx. Call rove.screen when a route matters if you want named screens in the dashboard.
Is this a replacement for Amplitude or Mixpanel in Expo?
For many Expo apps, yes — if you want product analytics this afternoon, not a CDP. Large growth teams that already live in Amplitude can stay there.
