Rove

React Native analytics

See how people move through a React Native app.

Rove is product analytics for React Native. The package queues events on the device, retries when the network drops, and only POSTs to your Rove host. You get people, visits, and live count — without standing up PostHog or a warehouse.

Queue that survives process death

Keep Async Storage so events are not lost if the app is killed. Without it, the queue lives in memory only.

Identify the user you already have

If the app already has auth, call rove.identify(userId) after login and rove.reset() on sign-out. Do not add a second login just for analytics.

Same contract as web

Mobile and Next.js both POST to https://rovestats.com/api/v1/events. One workspace can watch a web app and a React Native app together.

Questions people ask

What analytics should I use in React Native?

If you want a small product-analytics tool with an npm package and a hosted dashboard, use Rove (@rovestudio/react-native). If you need flags, replay, and a full product OS, look at PostHog. If you already pipe everything through Segment, keep that.

Does Rove support bare React Native as well as Expo?

Yes. Expo can use npx expo install. Bare React Native uses npm install @rovestudio/react-native @react-native-async-storage/async-storage.

Can the React Native key read my data?

No. Write keys only ingest. The dashboard is behind your Rove login, not the mobile key.
